Natural Gas

Mayor Schupp met with representatives of the Natural Gas Company. They will start installation in West Cape May in the August/September time frame.
We have had a good response so far. Once we get the required number of interested parties, they can start installation in in The Point. That could be as early as October.
The Gas Company will have a booth outside of the fire hall on Pancake Breakfast day – July 17th with information and to answer questions.

get in line two by two

the good news that it is supposed to start clearing today and have a sunny week in the 60's and 70's - the bad news is that animals are walking around in pairs.

we have standing water in some yards - the lake is high - a basement or two is flooded - again we seemed to faired out better than the folks up north - some houses along route nine are surrounded by water - sections of Dennisville Pike are covered where flooding on each side of the road wanted to reach out and touch their neighbor across the street - one individual parks his car on the road and has a canoe to get to the house - there are new ponds that you could launch a yacht in

I sorta like having the mallards in the back yard

From the Head Shed

the Chipper will be back the week of March 22nd

the snow is gone but the memory lingers on – Public Works has been chipping away for a week – they made an incredible dent in the fallen limbs and there is more to go – the feeling is that they would take some time off from chipping and give the residents more time to clean up their broken trees.

snow?!? - - - maybe

Starting as rain Wednesday afternoon – turning to heavy snow Wednesday night – tapering off on Thursday

How much snow we get (if any) depends on how far south the temperature line goes – we could have rain all night or up to 6 inches of snow is predicted

Snizzle

if a light rain is a drizzle, is a light snow a snizzle?? Finally, a storm did what it is supposed to around here - slide north to Atlantic City - we got nothing - a few snow squawls this morning - old snow got a dusting - streets are pretty much down to the asphalt - a few patches of ice in the shaddy areas

Monday, February 15, 2010

cloudy towards late afternoon - light rain turning into snow overnight - ending on Tuesday - expected accumulation = 2/4 inches
